Tell EPA: Neonic-coated seeds are bad news for bees

EPA’s latest pollinator protection narrowly addresses use of neonicotinoids and other bee-harming pesticides, but it entirely sidesteps the impact of seeds coated with neonics — which are planted on about 200 million acres of farmland each year.
Since neonics are systemic, they’re taken up through the seed and spread throughout all parts of a plant — including pollen and nectar. Bad news for bees!
The science is clear: neonics are a key contributing factor in declining pollinator populations, and seed treatments are a primary route of exposure. Tell EPA to get in gear!
