Both the Senate and House have passed legislation undermining state rights to label genetically engineered food — and now it’s headed to the President’s desk.
Urge President Obama to veto this bad “compromise” bill! Call the White House right now at (202) 456-1111 — it only takes a minute — then send your message by email too.
If signed into law, this legislation would replace on-package labels with a QR code that can only be read with smartphones. There would be no mention of GMOs, only the text “scan here for more food information.” This isn’t good enough.
