Give the World's Poorest a Voice in the Fight Against Poverty
As someone who has fought for better governance and stronger public accountability in Kenya, I know first hand how bad governance can undermine development. Unfortunately, it’s always the most vulnerable people who bear the brunt of this.
The unique challenges that face the world’s poorest have not always been adequately met by governments. But right now, we have a great opportunity to advocate on behalf of the world’s poorest for change that is specific, measureable and accountable.
This month, the UN High Level Panel is starting work on a new plan to fight extreme poverty. But this plan needs the input of the world's poorest people and ONE is working to open the process for citizens’ views to be heard.
